Ever since
the College of Pharmacy was established in 1953, approximately
five thousands of loyal alumni have graduated, and the
College has become the home to the pharmaceutical education
in the nation.
The College of Pharmacy currently has an enrollment
of 350 students in the B.Sc. program and 150 students
in the graduate program leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.
Our undergraduate pharmacy program has been attracting
the top students in the nation. The mission of the College
is to educate students to provide pharmaceutical care
and to promote scholarly activities in pharmaceutical
sciences. Currently, our college receives extramural
research funding exceeding 5 million US dollars from
various national and private sources, and publishes
over 100 SCI international scientific journals per year.
Lately, our college has been designated as one of the
Colleges of Excellence and receives special funding
and support from the University under the development
plan called VISION 2010+. As a step towards a top pharmacy
school at an international level, I am very excited
to say that a new cutting-edge pharmacy teaching and
research facility will be built within the next few
years. Affection, gift and financial support from all
sectors including the alumni association will be greatly
appreciated. Your continued commitment to excellence
will provide a bright future for the pharmacy students,
academics and our community.
Again, thank you for your interest in our college, and
I hope you find this homepage useful in understanding
our student activities as well as teaching and research
activities.
